Yes, I have left the hammer spring alone.

I think the gun performs well now for a couple of reasons:

I've finally shot all of the oil out of the valve.

The bore preservative grease that was in the bbl really played heck with group sizes. I think it's important to clear it from the bore. Shooting alone will not remove the grease.

I think I'm between 120 and 140 shots now, and the bbl is still "shooting in". It's going to make a very capable close to mid range hunter with the polymag Predator....

I've got the box in front of me here. It's one of those intended for more than one caliber- in this case, both .177 and .22.
I can see this rifle doing 800 FPS quite easily in .177. I'm certain that's where the 800 was intended. Just something to think about....

Scopes have to be mounted high for clearance for the magazine. I'd like to see the comb about 1/2" higher, but I'm one of those stock crawlers...

May play around and try to see if the Chaser trigger will work on this rifle...

for 22 to 177 conversion, will you need a bolt probe change as well, besides magazine, barrel and tray ?

I'm not sure if bolt and probe need to be changed.
Did a lot of reading on the GTA last night and saw no mention of caliber change requirements.
Would be interesting to find out about this.
Maybe Wes knows something on this matter...

I took a photo of the schematic parts list last night. Can e-mail it over to whoever wants to be able to read it. I couldn't read it even through a magnifying glass. Blowing it up on the computer is much easier.

The breech and bolt need to be changed unfortunately. I was hoping it was just the bolt but apparently the oring must fall out on the 177 barrel with the larger hole in the 22 breech. At least that is what snowpeak told me, that you can't use the same breech. I don't have a 177 barrel to try yet.
If this info is wrong I'd gladly be corrected, it's what I was told.

The Chaser has different welded on mounting system so I don't think the trigger would transfer over. The trigger on the lr700w can be made quite a bit less creepy and quick breaking with the one stage trigger adjustment. Just don't go too far or the safety won't engage (if you ever use the safety). There is a fix for that also, some guys on the GTA forum found a workaround for the safety. Look up Ribbonstone and his thread on the Plinkster (CR600W).

Thanks Wes. There may be a Google translator confusing things.
Going to have to do a polish job on that trigger. Sear arm is holding heavy tension at the hammer face.
May try a tear down tonight if I can get some 600 and 1000 wt wet dry paper before closing.

This make sense because I notice that there is an o-ring inside the breech barrel section to seal the probe and the barrel.

Right. Guess that oring must not be secure with the bigger hole. A 177 breech could be drilled out to 22 and 22 to 25, just not the other way.
I should maybe think about ordering some 177 barrels and breeches for the next shipment.

Predator Pellets work well in every one of my guns & worked
well in the rifles I sold, as well.

Just back from another gravel pit session, and the rifle is still tightening up group wise 8)

It seems to really like the 16 gr Air Arms diablo domes.

Tried mounting my Kandar 4-14 SFP scope on it, and there ain't quite enough rail there for it.
Ended up putting an older 3.5-10 X 36mm A/O Banner on it, and it is a good, if not, somewhat crowded fit.

Haven't weighed it, but it feels to be right around the 6 Lb mark.

This is one of my quietest .22 air rifles. I'm going to have to run it against the old 101 one of these days before it gets too cold to shoot outside...
