Gang I have to rebuild a lost section of case iron (not on an AG but I know its used a lot here - ACE loves the stuff!) and will need to protect some holes and make a form/wall to shape the casting to match existing lines.

What doe folks use as a bond break agent so the JBW doesn't stick to the formwork or molds?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion from practical experience.

A thin layer of grease will work.

Paste wax,neutral shoe polish work as release agents.
I use dollar store modeling clay to fill holes and make dams.

I also use a thin wiped on layer of ordinary axle grease. Silicone grease would also work.
I've used the waxes as well as store bought release agent, however with JB Weld or other
epoxies, ordinary grease works as well as any and better than the wax, for me.

edited - same as flyr, I use modeling clay for dams & filling screw holes, etc.
