Thanks but no thanks...

No ...way! Facebook will ever get even one grain of my personal information on their servers...

Besides I don’t personnaly think this is good news for this forum.
Posts on Facebook will unlikely be duplicated here. Some members will likely choose one or the other and split the membership.

But that’s just my 2 cents...

Good luck but as mentioned I see no point in fracturing our community
See how it goes

Same concern. Don't see the interest or the need. Unless simply seeking to develop a very 'local' discussion/interest group.

Alot of us here have found interest in frequenting and posting on the american forum (GTA Forum) as well as other 'airgun' forums currently active on the 'net'. These are very interesting and provide a broader spectrum of knowledge and experience which combines well with the mission and scope of the CAF iMHO and IMPO.

Consider also that facebook policies are explicitly anti-gun and likely to become even more so, meaning that investing time and energy into a platform that could arbitrarily limit the sort of content you post might not be wise in the mid to long term.

If using this forum is too onerous or time consuming to find airgun information, go to Facebook. I have no use for it.

To each their own but I'm here specifically to discuss and learn about my hobby away from FB.

BTW - are you going to make an intro so we know a bit about yourself; as currently we know nothing about this person that has started a FB group all my himself...

No interest in FB. Too invasive, can't even delete their app from phone, keeps updating even after disabling.
Would never give or share information on their site.
Happy with forum here.

relax man , no need for the tinfoil hat lol
If you were on Facebook you wouldn’t worry about an “introduction” as you’d already be able to see who I am and what I’m all about.

Like I said earlier gents , each to their own. Keep in mind though that the main UK Airgun Facebook page has 25,000+ members , that’s a lot of information to tap into and a lot of constantly evolving conversations to be part of.
Social media is exactly that , social ! It’s designed to add a personal level of interaction that I find lacking on a forum. Anyways like I said each to their own.
