hi i have found a verity of youtube videos stating that if you add 3/1 oil in the skirt of the pellet each time you fire you can add around 200 fps in velocity to you shots , has anyone here played around with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOPF_qb78_E

You will lost the accuracy. Springers are sensitive, even a change of how you hold the gun, you miss your target...

So, how about adding 200 fps?!

If your pellet can't hit the target, how powerful it is just a joke...

And it may damage your gun too...

So we always going to clean the lude / grease / anything but not adding more onto it...

Why would you want to take a chance and bust your spring and seal....???
Get your PAL and buy a gun or spring kit that will give you the added velocity.

so i tried some different things ,, the rifle does get more power BUT i took apart and seen some damage im not sure if it was from the spring adjustment or the dieseling but i busted off bits of the plunger cup ,i got alot more fps though

and the gun still works i would not recomend anything i did though unless you dont care about your gun / it is shooting very low power

I doubt anyone with a chronograph would do that to his rifle on purpose.

Looks the OP did so... For curiosity, I want to know the result too ~ Just like I shoot different materials / objects with different pellets to see the actual result that the pellets can make other than just reading the numbers from the search results...

i can assume i was getting an increase of power by shooting at wood shims used for carpentry , there basicly wood wedges and i shot them from the thinest part to the thickest part , it looks like they are going clean through the about 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch of the soft wood im not sure what type i think it is spruce mabe... but there not going through before

i dont think the dieseling had any effect but the spring i put in shure does , i used a spring used for those back doors and inserted a spacer between the two springs Image

cant wait to do some testing it sounds dangerous now

:D I know why there are so many springers and every brand has their own designs... because it's really easy to make a powerful one once you find a good spring ~ lol

I would purposely if I had one of those 28$ princess auto chinese specials. Where you wouldn't care if it broke.

I would never do this to any of my air rifles. Sure, you'll get extra velocity at the expense of wearing out your piston seal over time. When you subject your airgun to dieseling with fluids like WD-40, Vicks Vapo-rub, 3-in-1 oil, Vege oil, Rem oil, etc., you will deteriorate the seal and lose power eventually. In addition, the mainspring can break with the violent impact of the piston slamming against the spring.

ya i also think that some lubricants are petroleum based witch can deteriorate all the internal seals and also i have a plastic/neoprean piston in my gun so it was not good took it apart and wiped it down and cleaned everything thoroughly then sprayed a small bit of synthetic lubricant and re greased the springs and piston there was a bit of damage on the piston i have so i switched it around and i will check it later after a few hundred shots

the gun i am usuing is a hastsan mod.40 so i do not care about abusing since it is an entry level break barrel and at barebones performance , most pellets i use don't fit and will jam halfway down the barrel, i have to prime the pellets through the barrel before i shoot because its such a tight fit , the only pellets that work are the diablo match, or premium pellets
