Delivered in the afternoon.... It's so hard for me to stop thinking asking a leave to go home early after getting the notification from Canada Post ~ :D

Love it so much!! And it's very nicely built that you can't believe you can get such a high quality scope for the money spent ~

Thanks Wes!

Just mounted it on my HW30 with the supplied low profile rings with set screw for springers. Tonight just too busy as it's Halloween ~ And I will zero it and try it on in tomorrow for sure!

Size just similar to my old Hawke 3-9x40.

Suprised it's actually focus as close to 5 yards!

Very sharp images and nice reticle!

Finger adjusting turrets feels good and easy to use.

Looks a bit big on the HW30, but actually feels well ~

Can't put on the shade.... Due to it's on a 'break barrel' rifle ~ :DImageImageImageImage

Can't wait to tomorrow ~

The scope was zeroed easily and almost no adjustment to windage but a lot of adjustment on elevation as it shoots about 2 inches down in 8 yards.

Aftet compared to the Hawke, obviously the Hawke has brighter image. And I also found the images gets much darker while in higher magnification rates like 8x, 9x, and the image turns blurry too.

Currently I set it to about 5.5x which I can get a very clear image and my wobbling hands won't affect the aiming too much...

In general this scope just worth the price very much and I will see the long term usage in a springer from now on then ~

Is this the scope that comes with a phone mount?

Not that one.

It's the entry 40mm VT1 model.

Did you shim under the back of the scope? You mentioned you had a lot of elevation adjustment?

Nope...

After turning the elevation adjustment turret about 3 turns, I got it zeroed correctly... It looks the first 1 to 2 turns, I didn't get my POI changs, then I finished the adjustment in the next 1 turn plus several ticks...

Zeroing the scope...

Grouping follow the marked order. About 10 shots something in each group, not included the off target lower shots which I keep shooting and adjusting... Image

Interesting, what range are you sighting it at?
Glad you are liking it so far. I find most scopes are blurry at high magnification at anything less than 10-15 yards.
Thanks for sharing!

More details regarding the holes on the above picture ~

The first group (1) is the initial sighting in.

I aimed at the bullseye I drawed, and the gun shoots to the lower right first. The very lowest one is a flier, just pls ignore it ~

Then I adjusted the windage some clicks to left, , and it shoots right away to the left. And then I changed it back. And maybe total just one or two click to the left.

Then I started to adjust the elevation. Until it hits the bullseye that in the middle.

And groups 2, 3, 4 are all for the fine tunes. I made a new group while there are too many holes and I couldn't tell where my last pellet hit the pizza box anymore ...

Distance is about 8 yards and I tried to use the maximum distance that my butt actually against the storm door of my basement to the back yard and made some shots on the last group on about 9 yards, everything runs fine ~

I hope my low profile rings can give a longer useful distance maybe between 6 to 15 yards that I don't need to make further adjustments and can still have good accuracy .... I will try to verify that tomorrow ~

And sorry about my shooting skill on a springer... I believe in the other hand ( not my hand), you will see much less of 'other holes' on the pizza box ~ :D

:D so happy to see the scope can fully meet and over my expectations!!

Tried some quick shots in the morning, from 6 yards to about 20 yards. The scope just works so well and what I only need to do just turning the objective len to get a clear picture on the target ~

As with ALL scopes, the lower power settings will have a wider range of focus. (less picky about exact focus)

Looks like a good "entry level" scope.... I will keep that in mind the next time I need one....

I'm super impressed with the clarity of this scope and the VT-2 4.5-18X44SFVF! Both are 1" tube but super bright, and nicely coated glass.
The 3-9x40 fits just nice on the CR600W and LR700W, good for cheek weld for me anyway. I also tried the HD line on the cr600w and it fits equally well with Hi 11mm mounts. The rear sight has to be removed though to put the scope on.
