tuned to BR25 HV,13lbs. total weight with scope, 760-770fps with JSB monster 13.43gn.
tried to shoot this 2 target awhile ago. It's a 7,8,9,10 circle of wrabf br25 target.
fill the ag tank to 2500psi with my scuba tank...pic with added muzzle brake to arrest some small vibration in the firing cycle
Scope is tac vector sentinel, 8-32x50. only 20 yards range at the side of my house.

Pretty nice! Shoots well, too. Those 13.43gr. monsters shoot really well in my HW97.
What's the rifle cost, locally (us funds)?

Your smith did a very nice job, always interesting work going on in the Philippines. 8)

Have you tried the JSB heavy 10.3 or Barracuda match? My .177 LW does very well with them...better with the JSB's though.

Head size for the JSB's is 4.52

Regards,

Al

Daryl, the ag cost around 1134 cad, without a barrel. You have to provide the barrel and he will mount it for you. Here's a link on you tube how the receiver works when loading a pellet.
Here's a pic of the target using jsb beast 16.2gn.

This brand has been in the local (Philippines) AG scene since the 80's using co2 as propellant and was used by competitors in standing metal silhouette (MS as they call it) and 10m paper shooting.

Currently, the bench rest 25 (BR25) is one of the favoured shooting category by enthusiasts back home. As the poster said, the barrel has to be provided since that is the only key part that Philippine ag makers has not perfected to date. For over cad$1k? hmmm, kind of pricey to me when technologies used were mostly copies of other airgun designs . Still interesting to have one. I have the side lever cocking version in c02 still functioning back home... ;-)

apitagan, have you been in the local airgun scene in the philippines lately, and knows the going on price of a popular maker of a locally made airgun? If not, is it appropriate to say " hmmm kind of pricey ". Dont you think?

Yup I am there every other year JunB. With the quality and wait time of the local ag's there, it is not inappropriate and that is my opinion. I can already get a field target grade AirArms or a Daystate even for that price which are much finer rifles.

I would also have to agree with apitagun...I went home a few years back and saw some locally made airguns for the same price and if not more than high end commercially available pcps... but I also saw a shop that sold some crosman and gamo airguns for almost double of what we can get it here in north america for...

Heres another popular airgun from the philippines thats been around for a long time... Its a pcp that uses co2 or the rifle can be pumped for air as well...the guy on the vid pumped it 50 times and got 8 dry fire shots so not sure about the power... price is around 100 bucks+

Oh, trickster2000, you are also a filipino, who went back here a few years ago and might have some knowledge in the price of locally made and imported airguns. I would like to inform you that high end locally made airgun are priced as what I've said in the post above. Here's a pic of another high end local airgun made by gilbert felipe from tarlac.price around 1400cad. He makes his own barrel, smooth twist version, that's what they say. The airgun won many competion in br25&50
