This just in.....
With a little over a week before Christmas, Canada Post says it is starting to catch up on parcel deliveries that have been delayed by rotating strikes over the past two months.

The Crown corporation says that's largely because it is taking in fewer holiday parcels than expected.

No $h!t Sherlock. And they are surprised to boot.

It’s been hit or miss out here in BC for me anyway. Some things have been unaffected, other parcels and letters have taken almost 3 weeks to arrive when they normally would have taken 5 days or so.

What I find most interesting is when the dispute was in full force the union was saying they could catch up in a matter of days and that Canada post was lying about the number of trucks backlogged... doesn’t seem to be the case if they’re still playing catch up.

I've had some parcels go quick and others with all kinds of trouble going to wrong addresses and getting stuck in terminals.
Seems Vancouver and Mississauga are the sketchy spots.

Still waiting for my second set of spinners. Yes hit or miss, my wife's packages have been arriving in good time.

Well I shipped out a package to Dad on Tuesday and he got it today in Ontario. Placed an amazon order that was shipped on Monday, today. Seems hit and miss still though.

Definitely. I had a package come in from Bolder CO in 6 days two weeks ago. I have a package ordered last week coming in from Edmonton that will be more than 10 days.

Amazon has been nothing but great for me as long as it's a "prime" item. No longer than 3 days. But they don't rely on CP.

Has anyone heard that if you use a post office in a business , versus the post office depot itself, you will pay a higher rate at the business outlet?..

I haven't noticed. But will pay attention next time I need to ship out a package.

Ill use snap ship. And then goto the post office and see if the price is different.

But I know I pay more because I'm rural. Then I do in the city.

Fedex is horrible. Said my parcel was set for delivery on the truck for three days. Then get message it was not even attempted to deliver. Looks like it came to my town three days and back to Cambridge. Got it day four on Saturday morning at 9:30am with a bunch of bright orange stickers that said overdue.

I get Express for the same price as general delivery because of my business. I have a Venture card from the post office.

One package I got recently was delayed by one day, one package I got a couple days ago came in early as it wasn't expected to be delivered until this coming Tuesday.

I'm rather lucky I guess.
