Got bored staying home, so I started a project out of excess wood I have laying around.

Very nice! Wish I enjoyed building with wood. Whoever invented sandpaper I would like to dig up and kick him in the a**.

I actually don't know what kind of wood it is, I usually pick up some wood pieces when ever it is being throw away or disregarded, I just want to save it as it is always very handy to have one around, like for choking wheel or shimming anything. Planning to carve the front grip now on my 1322.

Here is the comparison to what I have bought from the one I built and the fore grip prep.

Tried using shellac finish, didn't like it, so I sanded it again, and finish it off with Tung oil

This is the first time I've made this, not aiming for perfection but just simply fittings and planning on how to execute and cut and trim the wood.
