Hey guys, im wondering if anyone knows of a good place online to order synthetic rifle stocks? I dont mind if they were originally meant for any specific gun as im just going to chop them up anyway. And i guess the cheaper the better as i have a few projects i'd like to start and im bound to make mistakes along the way lol... I have an SAG qb22 that i have thought about using but i quite like the qb22, for a $50 gun it has totally exceeded my expectations so i wouldn't mind respecting it and keeping it in one piece... for now. I have found a couple wood stocks online and have considered using qb78 stocks as i am familiar with both wood working and the qb78 stocks, ive also considered making stocks from wood but a couple of my ideas really would work better with synthetic stocks.

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Jamie.

You could search synthetic stocks on Bass Pro and Cabalas web sites.
The bass pro at tswassan might have some.
Expect them to be mostly for Ruger 10/22's, SKS's and
Mohsin Nagents.
Also Google Synthetic Gun Stocks.
Have you tried Cabalas in Abbotsford? Just saw that listing. Didn't know you had one down there in the valley.

Syn stocks for spring air rifles are heavy. My thumb hole one I bought for my vantage was nearly 4lbs. Stock wood one was just over 1lb.

Wood would be easier to work with. And you can paint the stock with truck bed liner spray and get the same look and feel of a syn stock. Problem with alot. They will not be tall enough or thick enough. And may require more material to be removed, making the stock weak.

Or you could fiber glass your current one. I know some people cut SYN stocks. Screwed and epoxyed Shotgun adapters and put pistol grips and M4 stock. On stock that never had them.

Last time i checked bass pro doesn't have a Canadian website... and the stocks at cabelas are unfortunatly all pricier than i was hoping to spend... i was thinking about using one of the 10/22 aftermarket stocks but at $150 on sale id be nervous about taking a dremel to it lol. Was hoping someone maybe had a reliable Chinese source....

And yep, the cabelas opened a couple years ago. Nice having a couple bigbox outdoor stores to choose from in the area :)

The truck bed liner is a fantastic suggestion... i know that the wood qb78 stocks will fit 2 of my projects with minimal modifications i just didnt want to chop up stocks that are on guns that i like to shoot lol..on the upside replacement qb78 wood stocks are only about 60 bucks so ill probably start there and spray the modded stock with bed liner And see how i like it. Thanks for the idea!

It should give you the textured look and feel. Without the added weight, and the hollowness of a syn stock.
