Hi everyone,

I have some bad news for the folks hoping for a 410fps Umarex Legends cowboy.

Umarex for now has dropped the plan for producing a 410 fps version. I spoke to them yesterday to place an order for these ones and was told that only 600 fps version is available and there is no plan to produce a slower shooting version. I pointed them to their own website which listed the velocity as 410 fps. I was told they will update it and they actually did later in the day.

https://www.umarexusa.com/products/legends-cowboy-rifle

So, I ended up ordering some of these full powered versions.

Thanks,
Raman

Hey everyone,

I ordered 6 with Umarex and got only 1 because they were out of stock.

I just ran chrono tests 15 mins ago.

5.1 grain BBs - 5 shots(5 sec wait in-between)
1. 679 fps
2. 684 fps
3. 663 fps
4. 624 fps
5. 639 fps

That is consistently over 600.

Because Wes mentioned that another dealer tried pellets, So I did as well and they shoot fine in SAA pellet shells.

7.9 Grain Crosman Premier
1. 522 fps
2. 577 fps
3. 568 fps
4. 581 fps
5. 509 fps

I didn't do any accuracy tests as the motive was just to get the velocity numbers.

As you can see, this is a firearm! I didn't want to try anything else because I got demotivated.

Regardless of what I or someone else might have told RCMP while getting an FRT for it, this gun should be rightfully categorized as a non-restricted firearm.

Will be listing it on the website tonight. Only 10 shots were taken.

Since Umarex had dropped the idea of making a 410 fps version, I think we will not see a non-firearm version of this rifle.

I am debating calling RCMP again on Monday about this and possibly share the chrono results.

Really unfortunate they've scrapped the idea of a Canadian version!

I have no interest in any gun I have to buy co2 for, but, I would still like to see a non-pal version for those who don't mind also having to spend money on co2.

Maybe their market research shows it wont sell much in Canada either way? There's gotta be some reason why they're not doing it, and I doubt it's technical problems as controlling velocity isn't rocket science.

Nice looking guns. Have to do some research as where the CO's go. I would only be shooting pellets. Do you have to buy different cartridge's? Looks like my Winchester 32 Special. :D

Hey everyone,

Positive news to share on Monday morning.

Umarex have changed their mind and now are working on making a low shooting Canadian model :). No ETA yet but it will be coming sometime this year and will request RCMP FRT update at that time so that the variant can be added.

This news came from UmarexUSA directly without any middlemen. Any retailers or distributors that work with them directly will get hold of these rifles once they are available.

Cheers!
