The reason I used the drywall screw was do to the large head diameter that helps stop side to side movement. I just pre drilled the hole and let the drywall screw self tap into the plastic. No tap needed.

Yeah it's just pot metal. Snapped pretty clean.

I used the old stock, also figured a stop. So the buttstock, wasn't whacking against the air res tube. I used a setscrew for the prototype. Might might use a pan head machine screw for the final.

I love to figure a lock, to keep the stock folded turning transportation.

I didn't have any drywall screws kicking around, so I simply put a small piece of black Gorilla tape on the metal side of the hinge. Same idea, it just acts as a shim to tighten up the joint when closed. So far so good.

I'm nervous about trying to bend the metal that fits into the grip... Might try applying a bit of hairspray or something as an adhesive in between the the stock and the plastic grips. A little bit of tackiness might be enough?

I used a set screw for my taking up the slack. Though a drywall would kinda be better. I found the setscrew. I needed to drill a bit lower. But would be close to breaching the stock. I'll see if the hardware store has any black 10-32 flathead screws.

Going to use a pan head to act as a stock stop. So doesn't bash in my air res tube. Maybe a flathead with a rubber button.

I don't think I'm going to attempt to bend the new stock. I was thinking, maybe adding some shims in between the tab/grip. I know one of my CZ SP01 thin alun grips, there was a gap, and it caused one of the grip panels to shift..So I just cut a small sliver of grip tape. And stuck it on top of the grip. And prevents the grip from shifting now. Might do that with the PP700SA.

I got the new stock in today. Thanks Wes. I got the stock wobble gone, and made a stock stop.. So the stock wouldn't hit the air res. I thought I could put some grip tape on the back of the tab, on the stock adapter. But made no difference. Still got up and down play. I'm not going to try bending the tabs.

I drilled and tapped the stock for a setscrew. And put a rubber stop. I just had some 10-32 grub screws lying around.



As for the stock wiggle. I just took the grip off. Screwed the 2 screws in... Marked and drilled thru and thru. Tapped it for M4-.07 and counter sunk the hole. And used one of spare screws the stock kit comes with.. Much more solid...

Hey Leadslinger I like the look of that scope and scope mount you have on your PP700sa.
Where did you get it? Do you like it?
I just have a cheap scope that came with my old Canada Tire pellet gun.
Its OK but I would like a upgrade!!

I bought it from Wes, Ohhunt 3-9x32AO, and the mount is one I had lying around. I think it was CP offset that I got off amazon. Only thing and I informed Wes. The mildot reticle is almost non existent, and the sunshade doesn't work with the flip up caps ( could purchase a new cap if you wanted ) He since updated with my supplied picture.

It even goes down to 3Y. I like the setup. So fine in my basement.

Thanks, I tried a bunch of methods..And wasn't getting the results I wanted. I was worried because I didn't think the grip would come off, but it did. So It was easy to do. Off the gun.

Save people looking side ways...The rubber stop, and the 3rd screw.

Now if only someone made a cheap forearm that slips over the air res, that you could mount a bipod.

I put a Hawke one-piece mount on mine, it JUST fits into the length of dovetail. The nice thing about one-piece mounts for these guns is that it really secures the shroud/barrel in place. A 3-9x40 sits as close to the bore as possible.

Thanks. I purposely put the screw on the right side. So I don't really see it as, I'm using the gun.

Something to look out for with the stock installed...

I noticed my holdover numbers weren't quite lining up with what I thought they should be. Ran it over the chrony and I had lost 50 fps from where I had tuned it.

I assumed the hammer adjuster nut had worked loose, so I removed the grips to get at it. Sure enough, with the grips and stock removed, my fps was right back where it should be.

Turns out there was a little bit of friction on the hammer from the stock (I may have compressed the tabs on the stock at some point). Opened the tabs up slightly with some pliers, now it's only dropping about 10 fps once assembled.

I got the perfect trick....I took mine off I'm better with it off then it on it was wobbly and made me miss my ducks
