We used those for about 15 years, at the Prince George Regional Correctional Centre. They were retired Bulgarian Police guns. LOL
Junk, mostly, but they worked, after a fashion. 30M1 carbines, of course.

I love mine, used it at a milsurp match last fall. Came 2nd.. Was against No1 LEs, and PU Mosin Sniper. Its light, handles well, Easy to operate..Mines a 1944, made by a division General motors

Very cool history. Designed in prison, by a moonshiner. Yes police raided this moonsine factory, there was a shoot out, a cop was killed. the guy charged wasn't actually the one that shot the cop... But he worked in the machine shop. Ended up fixing guards guns, where he on the side made a firearm..By the time they found out, it was fully operational. So they let him go. Said if he used it, he'll spend the rest of the life in prison. Then Winchester got a hold of him and they worked together on the M1 carbine.

The Springfield Armory replicas were announced at Shot Show 2018.

Anyone know if, or when they will actually be coming to market? Maybe we will know better after shot show later this month. Is anyone going?

Also, there already is a .177 BB replica of the Springfield XDM 3.8" on the market. It is the Umarex XBG.

Looks promising.

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Springfi ... +Air+Rifle

Listed as 425 fps BB only firing airgun (see pic of mag.). List price of $199US so will be selling in Canada for similar price as Cowboy Lever Action.

Expected selling date in USA is April 22/19. Who wants to start a gambling pool on actual availability date?

I will give my guess once I see the Shot Show videos.

Woodstock version of M1 Carbine now being advertised for pre-sale:

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Springfi ... /4662#9631

As reported $100 more than synthetic stock.

What's everyone's opinion. Would you pay $100 US more to get real hardwood vs. Wood-Look synthetic stock?

I was leaning to real wood, but now I'm on the fence.

I always prefer wood over plastic, no matter the gun.
