I placed an order for a bb gun and just learned that it is illegal to shoot air guns in the city.

I only find archery ranges in gta when I google for an airgun range.

Where do you guys shoot?

Inside my Mini Home, it is out of sight and out of mind.
It gives me a good 45' range.
The best thing my wife is OK with it.

Basement, or garage works for urbanites. Adequate for BB guns usually affords 7-10 yard ranges. And neighbours don't have to know.

I have a range of up to 40ft from the entrance of my apartment to the edge of my living room. I have no idea if my neighbours hear me or not... I never hear them. I'd love to shoot outdoors at longer ranges, but living in an urban area, my home range will have to do.

Basement range approx. 25 ft.

It works well for sub 500 fps BB pistols. Use smaller targets for pellet rifles, like wine corks & plastic practice golf balls.

Thx for your replies guys.

After reading the replies, I cancelled my order.

I do not have a garage qq. Gotta get a house with a spacious basement first.

GTAC is an airgun focused club in Toronto. We shoot Monday evenings from 5:30pm to 10pm. We also shoot powder after 7:30pm. We have access to 50ft/15m indoor range and we're located in the East end of Toronto.

Many members here shoot well in their Condo apartments ~ just as same, you need a good back trap for the BBs or pellets, then based on how big your room / apartment is, you can make up a ranger as maybe 3m, 5m, 10m....

Shooting is a very good and interesting hobby ~ don't say good bye to it so quick ~

Some guys like them, but BB's raise the ricochet/backstop problem.

I suspect, hanging strips of blue jean material, back behind the sides, would work wonders. Still, I am enough of an

accuracy nut to have zero interest in a BB gun. That said, as a kid, the neighbour's kid had a pump action daisy that we

were able to hit the cloth's line wheel with, shot after shot - tink-------tink-- almost every time. Thinking back about the range

- had to be 25 yards maybe a bit further. With the sin shining, being able to see the BB's fly, surely helped.

That type of shooting still interests me. But - it is fun to make 1/4" rest-shooting groups at that same range, or 1" offhand.

How hard can it be to open a sub 500fps airgun range? How much can it be to operate? As long as you have a good length available, it should work right?
They're opening axe throwing places everywhere, shooting airguns and airsoft can't be that hard.

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

Oh, but wait! An axe is a tool and a gun is a weapon of mass destruction.

Either indoors or outdoors, even if you own the place or not it will always boils down to liability, responsabilility and insurance... So yes quite hard to open an operate actually IMO.
I live south of Marieville surrounded by nothing but farm land. I even spotted two or three potential outdoors shooting fields around my house dreaming of a proper airgun range for us southshore shooters. But that would mean requesting permission from the land owners and getting over the aforementioned red tape...
