Grizzly pellets are a very tight fit in the cheaper guns. I use a toggle switch with the metal rounded switch to snap them in. Only spring rifles I do not have to snap them in is my Airhawks. Then snapping them in I broke a spring in less than eight months. My only thinking is it took so much force to get the pellet moving. Now in the gun since new spring I shoot Crosman wadcutters and the gun makes a totally different sound. Still have to seat them with my toggle switch but not nearly the force I had to with Grizzlys. I shoot it 15 feet in my tool room. CHEERS!

I suggest the RC bearing trigger mod. It made my trigger much more predictable.

How's the power on your guns? 15feet range , I think they are all sub 500fps?!

You only broke your spring, but did you have the pellet jammed ( because too tight in the barrel, the power of the gun was not enough to push out the pellet...)?

I never have my springs broken yet so far, but I did several times have a jam in the barrel because of the tight pellets... i.e. the .22 RWS hobby on my HW45, the RWS hyperspeed alloy pellet on my HW30 and some others like RWS Meister on my HW40 SSP... So, right now once I feel I need some extra force to sit the pellet into the barrel, I won't use that pellet with that gun again... Just to avoid damage to the gun...

And it's also the reason I like the Stoeger .22 wadcutter pellet so much because it has a slightly longer skirt and it's soft and sized well enough for you to use a just prefect force to sit it into the barrel with your finger tip, no loose, no too tight, just prefect... And very cheap from Cabelas...

Gun was stock and never altered from the way I bought it. No pellet ever jammed in the barrel. dDid have quite a rough shot cycle which remained over the coarse of many tins of pellets. Likely close to 10 000 pellets. Spring broke front and back in which I don't know when it broke as gun seemed to shoot the same all along till the scope went out of sight twice and I decided to look inside gun. Shoots faster now with the new Hatsan spring I put in but still under 500FPS but just a solid thump now.

I love those Stoeger Wadcutter .22 pellets. Very accurate in my .22s. Theyre a great deal and are actually rebranded H&N Sport pellets.
