OK- shot the PP800 last Wed. evening indoors at 10 meters - can't find the targets, sry. Suffice to say, it was not quite as accurate as the PP700
due perhaps to the pretty good trigger on the PP700 and not so good trigger on the PP800. I did, however test the PP800 TODAY at 17 meters not 20yards as usual.
The tables were already set up. Figured out the magazine (with Wes' help) - works great. Too bad not 10 shots.
here are 3, 7shot groups, shot at 17 meters, rest, using the red dot scope. i was quite happy with the 21.3gr., but obviously this pistol doesn't like the 19.09gr.
pellet. I tried some of the cheap Crossman's & they shot worse. Needs more work, I guess. I plan on working on the trigger before Wed. Evening shoot. We'll see.
Left group .988" c to c and the right hand group is .838", c to c.
The bottom group, is 2.147", c to c, which is very poor, but a LOT of semi-auto handguns today, will not shoot better than that, rested, and some not that well
from a Ransom, machine rest.

I found a 10 meter target shot with the H&H Bar. Hunter Extreme, which shot poorly at 17 meters, maybe just bad shooting by me. Needs more testing.

Wow sure doesn't like the 19gr!
Have you tried any jsb 15.89 or 14.35? They usually do well with Artemis barrels.

I found the valve on my Chaser filled with synthetic oil from the factory.
The bore was also packed with preservative grease that is more efficiently removed with a chemical assist.
Lighter fluid works- Varsol is an even faster cutting agent. Dry patches alone are not enough to completely remove that grease~even over a tight button jag.

I did not clean the valve on my Artemis pumper. It took about 120 shots before it quit spewing oil clouds down range, and another 30-40 shots for the gun to settle down after that.

You may have to fling some more lead down range to get the pellets to settle in.
The A/A 16.0 gr domes I got from Wes shoot very well from that bbl, now that it is cleared and settled in...

Good to know, thanks. I'm out of JSB .22's, so an order is likely to happen next time I think of it.
The 15.89's sounds likely. Not sure about the light ones. I did try some Crossman Piranha 14.34's, but they were horrid from both guns.
The Umarex Gauntlet actually loves the Crossman 14.43 Hp's on CO2 but gags on the Piranha's as well. Go figure.
Good to know about the crap, Doc. Wes was kind enough to run some tests on my PP800 for me so it was clean when I received it.
TKS Wes - you're the best!

You're welcome =)
I only ran some patches with cleaner them a few dry patches so it wasn't perfect by any means, probably could use a good cleaning like Doc mentioned with varsol.

I always have a can of Varsol in the shop - acetone as well as Kerosene and many bore solvents for the PB's. So- yeah- I will clean it before Wed night shooting - 10 meters again.

In reality your 19.09gr result is not bad. You can obviously do better but many would be happy with that grouping at 17m.

btw, which red dot are you using? I've been considering the sightron s30 which was my choice for 22lr bullseye but wouldn't mind an even cheaper alternative for rec shooting with the pp700.

Tasco Pro Point I've had for close to 20 years(I think).
I was ooking at a new red dot sight last night and thought some of the ones at D&L
for Leapers and Hawke looked OK. I was primarily looking at the ones priced $79.95 to $89.95
like this one with the 4moa dot. I tried one of the lad's 5moa dots and it was too large for me.
That might have been due to a cheaper sight, I do not know.
Found this: https://www.gunauction.com/buy/8362031
& this: https://picclick.com/tasco-pro-point-re ... 04554.html

Thanks Daryl. I was wondering if the hawke like the one Giles used in his review of the pp700 was any good. Under $100 would be great. Love the pro point. If it ain't broke...

Yeah - seems to be working nicely. If I look through my distance glasses, the dot is round. With the naked eye, it is a red line, like this,
but a little fatter \ & on that angle as well. I assume that is due to the astigmatism in my right eye. Same sight, minus end pieces.
