 Post subject: drop down duelling tree.

heres a new one I,m attempting. I saw one on you tube for .22s and such. it was made out of pipe with pieces cut out so when the steel target was hit it flips to the other side and drops down. that would be ideal but I don,t have the materials to cut a pipe like that. so I,m trying this design for now. got a lot to iron out. this is just a tester. when I figure it out better -- we shall see. if anyone has some good tools and materials check out the ones on you tube and maybe you can make a good one.

Nice work. Personally I would use carriage bolts and nuts. I feel that the weight of the target coming down to the next setting, Will slowly bend the nails out.

heres what I ended up with. it works-- but could be better. 13 direct hits will bring the target from the top to the bottom. all in all turned out not bad. these are from the front --shooting at it. click on pic to enlarge.

well I guess this is what my retirement boils down to. me sitting out in my little garage making targets. oh and sitting on the front porch with my 2 little cats. heres another little duelling tree I whipped up. double click for nice big pics.
