Hi Guys! My place got inspected by the RCMP Firearms Inspector yesterday and I got my license already today =).
So I can now sell non restricted air rifles, all I need is a pic front and back of your PAL.
I've got a few CR600W/Stormrider PCP available in 177, and possibly one more in 22 I can build.
These come with a gauge in the front and the option of a Lane regulator. Very nice little rifles =).
Cheers,
Wes

Congrats,

What type of security you got to protect these scanned docs of people licenses? I only ask because. All the online dealers Ive dealt with. Only require your name, DOB, PAL # for NR, and only require scans for restricted. I know many are reluctant to give a scan, esp for a NR.

Thanks for asking Robert. I'll look over the documents again and if I can get away without pics I sure will. I do have a security system in my house, with sensors on the doors and motion sensor downstairs where the guns are, and I do have a lockable file cabinet I can stick in the gun room. If other sellers aren't doing that maybe I read it wrong, and it's only for restricted firearms, which I don't have a license to sell.
Regards,
Wes

Thanks again for the various congrats and comments!
I look forward to getting some interesting guns in =).
One that I plan on selling is the Artemis M11, which Raman from CSS has got coming in with another of our joint orders, in May.

Could you not just delete the scans once you have seen them? It would be like looking at it at a gun show as proof the individual has it and then they put it away in their wallet.

Good point.
Well, looking over the document, it is quite strange in that the only rule it has concerning sales is about ammunition. Here is a pic of the wording. I don't sell powderburner ammo so no worries there. Image
This is the document I had read before that seems to be the official rule: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/fs-f ... re-eng.htm
Basically saying/recommending calling the CFP to check whether the PAL is valid, but nothing about pictures.
So I will refrain from asking for pics.
Thanks,
Wes

I have now applied for the RCMP business web services at Raman's recommendation, and so I can verify PAL numbers on the site. No need for phone calls or pics =).
Thanks Guys,
Wes
