So far im loving this little rifle.
I do however have a list of things
i will be doing on it.
The first is a custom muzzle brake, this rifle is too nice to have plastic on it anywhere.
The first step is to remove the front sight which was friction mounted.
I drilled a 1/2 hole through a piece of maple Clamped that to my workshop table and literally just repeatedly drop the barrel through the whole drifting off the whole sight without even damaging it.
phew

The barrel profile is different than the storm rider barrel as it comes with the much longer(21.5) LR700w barrel. Probably while it is so quiet.

Definetly going to reface and polish the crown as it is a bit ugly..

Even with thst ugly face it is still stacking jsb's at 5 yards .
I know that's not very far but that's what I have to deal with in my basement right now ...

They sure are.

I just finished redoing the muzzle face and polishing the crown.

I also used some dremel polishing bits and smoothed out the chamber just past the the transfer port.
I am I'm hoping that that will smooth out the loading process with the copper coated HN pellets which are a bit tougher to load in the magazine sometimes.

I should also do this and I can put on a new front sight. Still would like a longer bolt handle and stiffer main spring

I would also be interested in putting a longer bolt handle on my CR600W.

Anyone know where to get the part & how to install?

Thanks

I’m believing it’s a custom machining part

I believe it is 4mm threaded bolt. Some people have used a shoulder screw and just shortened the threaded area down to length of the diameter of the bolt . I have also read of people running a tap through the bolt hole and using crosman bolt handles.
To remove the sight on the cr600w just drill ½ hole through some hardwood clamped to something sturdy and repeated drop the barrel through the hole. It came of after about 10 drops. FYI WARNING!!! Put a soft landing pad underneathe so you don't ding the barrel breech.

Post up some groups!

These bbls seem to like the crosman tear drop points...

I am going to try ordering some two ended 4mm threaded rod ( total length 45mm, threads 15mm long), add to that 4mm threaded round nuts (15mm long). After cutting off the extra threads it should be just perfect.ImageImage

Good idea, i’m going to have to remember to see how long of a bolt i’d need then look into that too.

After using a laser bore sighter to rough sight my scope i reslized there is a bit if barrel droop. About one elevation mark on my scope.
I slid a another barrel band that showed up in the mail from wes today. (btw he is great.)
What do you know the POI raised almost the same amount that it was drooping. This should make sighting in the scope a lot easier plus tighten up the groups a bit since the barrel cant shfit once The second barrel band is installed. I had to chop off the threaded chunk on the bottom of the barrel band on my bandsaw and then sand and paint it.
after that I'll have to and let the stock to except the barrel band I want it to look "factory."ImageImage
