Can anyone explain what that long spring that extends out from the bottom of the trigger is for?

Made a new one of those long springs out of a giant paper clip like you would a lock pick seems that was why it wasnt cocking seems to be working fine now

That long spring end, sits on top of the cross bolt safety. One to keep the safety button in, and to add tension to the sear. Paperclip won't last long since you need spring steel.

So whats happening is. You attempt to cock it, the piston goes over the hammer, but since no down ward pressure on the sear, the sear isn't popping up catching the hammer. Holding the piston back.

Sorry I don't have one, just going on by visual on the trigger group.

Paper clip seems to be holding up cocking action acculy feels smother then it ever has ... has a nice broken in feeling and is shooting extreamly accurate even at 35 40 yards (495 fps)

In the four trigger pix you posted the two springs looked fine. Except the third pix showing a closeup of just one sear and a short or broken spring i don't recognize or understand. So help me understand what was broken...
