The Canadian Nationals is next month!

We'll be following the same format as last year, Friday is target setup and sight in, Saturday is a 60 shot course followed by a dinner. Sunday another 60 shot course, followed by sandwiches delivered to the club and then awards and door prizes.

All of you who attended last year will remember the amazing prize table filled with awesome stuff from Airgun Source and Airgun Archery Fun.

I need to book the restaurant for Saturday night, and order the food for Sunday, so I need to know who's coming, please let me know as soon as you can!

Registration Fee is $80.00 per Competitor
Guest meals on Saturday will be $15 and $7.00 on Sunday

Friday, July 19th
Morning: Lane Maintenance ***we need help with this, if you're able to lend a hand, please let me know!***
- Late Morning: Target Setup
- Afternoon till Dusk: The sight in range will be open in the afternoon and early evening

Saturday, July 120th
- The sight in range will open at 7:30 AM
- All guns will be chrony tested during the sight-in time
- If unregistered, register for the match before 9:30AM
- Shooters meeting at 9:45 AM
- Match starts at 10:00 AM
- Shooters will complete five lanes (30 shots)
- Shooters will take a mandatory short break to fill guns or use the washroom
- Shooters will complete the remaining five lanes (30 shots)
- Scores for the day will be tallied and posted
- A meal will be supplied right after the match at approximately 2:00 - 3:00PM at a local restaurant.

Sunday, July 21th
- The sight in range will open at 7:30 AM
- Shooters meeting at 9:45 AM
- Match starts at 10:00 AM
- Shooters will complete five lanes (30 shots)
- Shooters will take a mandatory short break to fill guns or use the washroom
- Shooters will complete the remaining five lanes (30 shots)
- Scores for the day will be tallied and if necessary, shoot offs will be held to determine the winners of each category
- A meal (Subway sandwiches) will be supplied following the match and shoot offs
- Awards Ceremony will be held immediately following the meal
- The Door Prize draw will be held following the awards, during coffee and dessert

Important Notes regarding the Match
- Timers will be used on all lanes The timer format will consist of 60 seconds of ‘preparation time’ once you address the first target (when your bum hits the bag, or you shoulder your rifle for standing shots or kneel down for kneeling shots, plus 60 seconds for each target. Thus a 3 target lane allows for 7 minutes.

- A maximum 20 ft/lb limit with the pellet you are using will be enforced in Open and Hunter Divisions

- A maximum 12 ft/lb limit with the pellet you are using will be enforced in WFTF Divisions

Hi Tom

I try to find more info for this event. Not because I will be a competitor but just to be there.

Where can I find the related info?

Thank you

What would you like to know? It's at the Port Colborne Conservation Club, Latitude & Longitude Coordinates 42.910234,-79.157782

It's unlike most other 'competitions' in that we're all VERY friendly, and the atmosphere is very welcoming and helpful - you really should consider shooting. Some of us camp out at the club for the Friday and Saturday night too, so no need to rent a hotel!

Results from first day of shooting at the Canadian Nationals. Solid day - ~30C, sunny with lots of sun and shadows.

Another Nationals are in the books! A great second day - a bit cooler and even the mosquitoes sorta cooperated

Tom, thanks for all you did to get this together and the awesome prize table! A shout out to Joel G - set a new one day record with a 56 / 60 for WFTF Piston and the all time 2-day high total of 107 out of 120! Well done 8)

For the final results and lots of pics, check out @CanadianAirgunFieldTargetAssociations on FaceBook.

Well this was my first national shoot. What a fun positive learning experience it was. thanks to everyone for making it that way. You were all so helpful, encouraging and fun to spend time with. Enjoyed some joking and good natured ribbing, along with some of the funniest storeys ever, got to love people who can laugh at themselves.

Special thanks to Tom for all his hard work in putting on this event. I saw you work hard all weekend to make sure everything ran smoothly. Yet as busy as you were I watched you stop answer questions and help people. when clearly you were under pressure yourself. But never did i see you loose your composure. Thanks Tom!

Also big thanks to Chris for having me at his home and all his help in getting me set up with my scope ,gun and advice. Also to Mark for his friendship and very helpful advice. Plus for sharing his Tx200 with me for a shoot and for again offering to share at Nationals as it looked like my gun was not up to task. You guys know how to keep the friendly in friendly competition.

Also was very nice to meet and talk to some of our US counter parts a great bunch indeed and now I want to go down there for a shoot.

Canadian Team were approachable friendly and helpful. No big heads or swollen eggos there.

I TOTALLY ENJOYED MYSELF THANKS EVERYONE !!! PS getting first crack at prise table wasn't bad either. Sorry Denis But I did tell you the scope was mine lol
