Hello all,

does anyone here have any tips and tricks on how to deal with that pesky screw that all my pellets get snagged when loading a pellet into the barrel?

It's such a pain in .177 with wadcutters.

Please let me know. It's such a nuisance.

Regards.

Dab of candle wax, Or silicone RTV. When you need to take the screw out, you should be able to pluck it out.

Crayon is a good idea as well. Probably stronger too.

I used candle wax and it worked like a charm. Have plenty of candles laying around as well.

Thanks for the help, gentlemen.

Try clamping the metal breech and airtube tightly together.
Use two clamps and blocks of wood or a vise.

After clamping, You may be able to tighten the screw another 1/4 turn and that might lower it and offer a bit of clearance.
Clamp it again to disassemble because there will be extra pressure on the screw head adding friction and making it harder to loosen without clamping.

Hope this makes sense.

Don't need a vise, just use one of these clamps. But yes I found clamping, helped to not strip the screws on assembly.

I think there might be some confusion.

It's not the screw that's getting in the way, it's the screw hole. It acts like a pot hole that's a nightmare for wadcutters.

That's why the wax worked. Just filled it in.

But thanks for the tip.
