Pushed through some more of my .22 pellets in the house, they all got obvious cut marks on both head and skirts by the rifling...

Looks my barrel is under-sized??

Ordered some polishing heads for my dermel, and planning to polish the breach later slightly.

By the mean time, I made a pellet seater with a carbon fiber tube and some AA batteries...

Anyone knows where I can find some 5.48, 5.49 pellets to give it a try?

Actually a bore is good or bad? Or how good and how bad ??

One more coat of the tung oil is almost cured ... Looks didn't highlight the wood grains too much, didn't see a big change at all... Anyway, it's a good protection to the stock, will wait over night and see the result to determine if more coats or just done...

Put everything (just 2 things actually...) back together and fine tuned / zeroed the sight...

Pick up and use the Stoeger X-Sport (not X-Match, the XSport should be the unsorted version of the X-Match which Cabela's shipped incorrectly to me last time ) and there are many smaller sized I can load into the rifle easier. Anyway, I do use my pellet seater to sit the pellet about less than 1mm deep into the breach...

Result is good indeed! With my reading glasses, about dime size 10 shots group in 9 meters... ( Forget about the 2 fliers one is I tried not using the seater, the other was before I put on the reading glasses...)

It seems I really need to find the smaller sized .22 pellet to feed the Eagle now...

I have the same from Eric's place also.one long gun for sure.
I liked the quality so much I emailed Eric to tell him.
I use cheap princess auto in 95% of my about 20 pistol and rifle collection. ( grizzly pellets, sorry)
From brand new to 30 year old, always a good shot.
I use the grizzly dome in the black eagle, just to cut down on the twang a bit.
Very very accurate. I use the fibre optics a lot. They are very good.
This is one off those rifles, mind anyway that doesn't do well with a scope.
I like that's it's made in spain.

I use the fiber front sight and with a Daisy cheap peep rear sight.

And yes~ I am using the Grizzly pellets on it too! It's good that the skirt of the grizzly is thin and soft like the H&N style (like the Sport etc), so it's easy to push in the breech... Anyway I am using a home made seater too~

Good review!
How is the loudness compared to the average rifles?

It's low and quiet.... Anyway it's a detuned model, didn't feel it's louder than my HW35 which my daughter told me she didn't hear it outside of the house with only the storm door closed and main door half opened when I was shooting inside. And she heard soft reports on the PP700 and 2240.
