My POL (which is the same as a PAL now) is going to expire in about 5 months. Do they send out renewal papers or do you have to do something online?
Thanks

Definitely do it online. No notice will be sent. They will wait for you to become a paper criminal.

Do it online, and once you submit the application, send a copy of a range membership if province requires. They won't call asking for it either. Helps speed stuff up.

My last renewal only took 12 days. From the time I submitted it, to the time in my hands. I just took a selfie up against the basement white door. Previous one, I did 5 months before expiring, got a passport style photo etc, mailed it in. I had to call them up saying, I didn't get my PAL and It's soon to expire. I got that 2 weeks after it expired.

Thanks for the info. Interestingly, at 4:32 AM today, I received a Email from CFP Online with a renewal link! Talk about good timing....:-). I'll get on that this weekend.

Have you renewed online before? I'm wondering how they got your email?

I don't think so. Email might have been on the paper work I filled out years ago. Seems odd they Emailed me a few hours after I asked the question, maybe just paranoid :-).

I used Google Hangouts dialer to make a phone call. After that call I was getting advertisements for stuff we talked about. Big brother can beat it. Not using that app again!

NS CFO is quick. If you didn't send the range membership, you'll be waiting for awhile. I was told that by someone else, speeds stuff up, because if you don't. They won't contact you to say that you must provide till you probably call back in a few months, wondering where it is. That what happened with that guy. So It was a PSA for anyone doing online renewals.

Last year they wouldn't complete a transfer, because my membership was 30days to expire, and I don't have a valid club membership. Well 30days to expire, isn't expired. I said isn't there record of another gun club? Oh.... I'm a member of 2 gun clubs. Ones 75$ a year and doesn't expire till Dec, the other 150$ and Expires End of Aug. So Im always over lapping.
