Decided to chop a half inch of a barrel I have.

After the chop I chuck the barrel in a hand drill while spinning it while I square it up on my bench belt sander with a jig I made.

I then made a maple steady rest for my unimat lathe since chuck bore is only 8mm and I can only fit the breach end in the chuck..
A brass screw and valve paste with hand drill while spinning lathe at slow speed.
Then Some 400,600,2000grit wet sand using right angle jig to keep it square.
I wanted an industrial kind of look , like a walther target barrel.
Came out decent I think.
