User name DogRam (GARY). Just purchased a Beeman P1. Plan to buy a few more pellet pistols to pass on to my one grandson (or any of 10 granddaughters that might be interested:)
Could use advice on red dot or scope and case for the P1. Also advice on a pistol that gets closer to 500 fps in .22 cal. Have a PAL w/ Russian SKS, Browning .22 and Ithaca 12 gauge.

Hello, Gary! Welcome to the party~

A Beeman P1 is a very good start~ But it do need some techniques to shoot well~

And how old are your grand kids? Don't you think the P1 ( Also the HW45) is a bit too big for a kid?! ;-)

And I think in the pistol form, the P1 might be the most powerful one that close to 500fps in .22 as you may get about 460fps. Otherwise, you need to invest in a PCP .22 pistol... Or a 2240?! You can open a new topic for this interesting question ~

And a normal size case will be fit for a P1 well... Image

DogRam - pleased to make your acquaintance. Wow - 10 granddaughters vs 1 grandson.
If there is a gun club near with an indoor range to shoot in the winter time, that is the perfect
time & place to get them shooting air guns.
