I see Crosman is coming out with two "new" BB guns. Not sure they are actually new, seem more like another version of existing guns.

Crosman R1 Full Auto BB Air Rifle with Red Dot Sight.

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Crosman_ ... ot+2+hands.

Similar to DPMS & Bushmaster. Looks like it is a hybrid of the two. Uses same magazine. Same FPS & rate of fire.

Crosman P1 Full Auto Blowback CO2 BB Pistol with Laser.

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Crosman_ ... ot+2+hands.

Looks to me like a Crosman PFAM9B with a laser attached.

What does everyone think? Would anyone who has a DPMS or Bushmaster by the R1? Would anyone who has a PFAM9B buy the P1?

Yeah, I read their pre-announcement too~

However it looks no more attractive to me as the low muzzle speed, and the doubtful acceptable accuracy... For the looks, I think I prefer an airsoft version but which looks cost too much to me and I would rather take a good pellet rifle...

Looks I grown-up now ?!?!

It looks like a DPMS, without the angled handle removed, a added red dot, the goofy muzzle brake removed for a more traditionnal muzzle brake and a standard stock.
If I didn't already own the DPMS and the Bushmaster I'd probably buy that one. It looks good.

I totally understand why people like the AR plateform! I have 3 (with the Hellboy, 4 if you count the Umarex SteelForce) and I'm trying not to buy that one too.

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

Well Crosman made the DPMS. This is why I'm not a fan of Crosman.. They take the same guns, make minor changes and call it something else. I mean look another M9 Beretta.. Berettas are not as popular as they were in the mid 90s. I might at the range see 1 or 2 Berettas in a year.

I love the DPMS, they can make as many variants as they want, it's still a great and fun gun. The AR plateform is extremely popular and like I said, I totally understand why.
Everyone likes the 13XX/22XX plateform, they're still milking the cow on that one and I mean why not? If you have a good plateform why not use it? My 1701P is made from the 22XX plateform and is one of my favorite airguns.
The pistol is just a KWC rebrand they added a laser on and it's a Taurus not a Beretta but it's still a great gun. To some it might just be another replica but the trigger on those is amazing. No creep and super crisp almost like breaking a very small piece of glass.

If they can keep the insides and "re-skin" the outer gun, they can make AK's, SCAR's and whatever gun they want.

Everyone does that, in and outside of the airgun world. Car manufacturers are very big on that, would you skip buying a brand for that? Might as well start shopping for new shoes right now.

I agree with Doc Gadget. Maybe time for Crosman to reskin the DPMS in a AK47 platform. Maybe even with a larger capacity magazine. It's about time to revisit the issue. They need to update the old Crosman Comrade AK. Almost bought one of those years ago. Don't feel bad, that I did not. I hear it was not the best design.

The AK 47 was one of the most popular gun ever made.
