Hi Guys!
This weekend we remember those that have fought and died and those that have served our country in times of war.
In honor of those men and women, I've put everything in the store at 11% off until Monday at midnight Saskatchewan time, with the coupon code REMEMBER.
Veterans, please contact me at support@airgunarcheryfun.ca or wesleyb@airgunarcheryfun.ca with proof of service for further discounts or gifts.
Thank you to all of you that have served or are serving to make this world a safer place. You carry scars physically and mentally that most of us have not had to carry. We thank you for your sacrifice.
Sincerely,
Wes

All thumbs up on that, Wes (I happen to be all thumbs), and here's a nod of respect for your offer in tribute.

Great quote, very true, has weight to it.

I keep thinking of my Grandpa today. He was a Sergeant in the Air Force in WWII, but, more than that, I think of how he made the world better by how he lived his life. We too have a part to play - in honoring those who gave so much and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy, but also in our everyday life, standing against authoritarianism, fear mongering, racism and closed fistedness. Choosing to live lives of generosity and integrity, honesty and respect for our fellow man, whether we always agree or not.
Let us not forget.

You're very right Wes, this generation owns it on the veterans that has fought and sacrifice their lives to make this generation livable. Was watching a lot of documentaries from the previous war that has been unclassified, there is a lot of things to learn about this on what has actually happens, because during my time in school, we are only limited on who wrote the book that we are presented.

Cheers Wes, well said. We not only need to remember them...we need to live our lives in a manner that would respect their sacrifices.

That's really thoughtful Wes.

I fought in Canada latest war ( Afghanistan ) and back home it didn't make a lick. Actually we are more divided now then we were ever. Those who were our enemies are now political status symbols.

My grandfather mom side, if he was alive wouldn't be impressed. He was a tanker in WW2, 9 tanks were knocked out from under him. So he had alot of survivor guilt. I only ever heard him grunt. He only ever talked to my father which was another serving member and I'm sure if he was around, after I joined, he would have talked to me.

So I'm 3rd generation Fighting Irish. My Grandfather, My Father and I. I never met my grandfather, he went missing in 1965. I volunteered for Afghanistan in 2006, went over there in 2007. Pops was over in 2010.

Though I came home, a different person, I don't regret it.

Lest we forget.

Thanks for sharing Robert, I appreciate your first hand perspective. Things are never black and white are they and war is a terrible thing no matter if it's worth it or not.
