Just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with the New Warrior Gen 2 compressor. I've read and viewed the few reviews on you tube but want to know if any members have any positive or negative feedback on it. I understand its a little on the louder side but that's not really a concern for me. I'm basically trying to decide if I should just get this compressor or spend the extra money (+$300-$400) on the Nomad 2 (when it back in stock somewhere in Canada).

Appreciate any advice

As far as noise it's much quieter than the Yong heng type compressors. More of a two cylinder John deere tractor kind of noise, on a smaller quieter scale. 8)
I am interested in people's experience as well. Raman and I have sold quite a few and I haven't heard much back myself, though Raman has sold quite a few more than me.
I had one returned because it would not build pressure but it was just a matter of the female quick connect being not tightened enough.
Regards,
Wes

The nomad looks to be a real nice well built compressor just not sure its worth the extra money for my needs. Does the Warrior have auto shut off for preset pressures?

Thanks

I bought mine a little over a month ago to fill a Streamline and Huntsman and it has been fantastic. I too considered the Nomad 2 but couldn't justify the extra $300+. I'm not saying it's not worth it but I felt I could use the money for extra goodies. Also, since this is such a small community with only two main players (that I know of) who sell the New Warrior Gen 2, I felt confident they'd step up it anything went badly.

I don't think it's all that loud but since it is a generator I didn't think it would be quiet either. So the noise is on par with expectations. The other thing that I really like is the auto shut off.

So in a nutshell I'm very happy with my decision to buy one. I also find that I'm shooting a lot more now than I did previously.

Great, appreciate the feedback. The nomad does seem like a all in one convenient compressor (even comes with carry bag) but as you mentioned at $300+ more in price funds can be used towards another rifle for example.

I’m about to buy my first PCP, and was going to go hand pump. But I considered this compressor too. Funds don’t dictate enough for the gun, scope, and electric pump right away. I could use the exercise on the pump, but I’m also lazy. I’ll probably end up buying this in a few months.

Does the new warrior gen2 require an external water source like the Yong heng?

No it doesn't require water, which makes it a nice cold weather option. It's self contained but does require the included transformer for 110v. It includes battery cables for running off your vehicle as well.

That black one is the original version, which is great too but doesn't have the set pressure.

Would you recommend purchasing an external filter or is the included one good enough?

The one supplied is quite good actually, as long as you check it regularly and open it to dry out. I think it is very adequate for the purpose of the compressor, filling guns. For bigger compressors that fill tanks I'd reccomend one of the filters that use the dessicant drying balls. This is only my opinion, others would say buy the bigger filter.
Thanks,
Wes
