Does any have experience with getting a sling set up on a Winchester Model 12 shotgun?

Your best bet would probably be something like this

Or if you want something that looks more original, you'll need to find a competent gunsmith that can silver-solder a loop to the barrel-band

Thanks for the suggestions. Might have to go the custom route.

You could also go old-school with a wrap-around sling

Or find someone to make a kidex clamp

Could loop para cord around the barrel support, and then attach your sling to that. I used to take regular old slings, and turn them into a patrol sling for my issued rifle. Just made a para cord loop around the front sight base, and around the stock, and attached the sling to that.

Not sure if this will help but I put a sling on my gamo bone collector by just rigging some para-cord on either end of the gun where it wasn't in the way. I wrapped it twice and made a double alpine loop for strength on both ends. I then took an old junky leather sling that wasn't that great and modified the ends to take two swivel clasps. I added another leather keeper to keep the sling nice and tight too itself. Once I had stitched together the ends, you just put the clasps threw both loops on either end and your golden. No need to drill holes( and wreck your gun), for swivels or anything. It doesn't wreck the gun this way and can be removed in the future if you want, just cut the para-cord off.

It's Hill Billie'd together but it works great.

I make leather stuff all the time so there is always other ways to make leather adapters as-well to secure the sling to the gun.

You have any pictures? That sounds like a genius idea.
