Depends where you are & if you want to buy in store on online.
You may have a local sporting goods or hunting store that has a selection of airguns. If so, that's the best place to start. Most smaller local sellers are very helpful. Cabela's, Canadian Tire and Princess Auto are usually helpful, but it varies, depending on the store & who is working that day. My local Cabela's has usually been very helpful, esp. when I was just starting out. But some days they don't have anyone in the airgun dept.
I have found most of the major online airgun vendors to be very helpful. Esp. AGS, CSS, Airgun & Archery, D&L and Replica Airguns.
Sometimes it is helpful to do some research & talk to knowledge people, so you get want you actual want. There may be many different "best place" for you, depending on what you want. For example if all you want is an entry level .177 break barrel, can't beat the $35.99 made in China .177 pellet rifle at Princess Auto. If you are looking for a replica airgun that is an exact copy of a firearm. Cabela's, Replica, D&L, CSS & AGS have nice selections.
Etc, Etc, Etc.
Good luck & happy hunting (for an airguns that it, not live game).
