I've just recently retrieved my childhood air rifle from my parents cabin.
It's a Crosman 2200 magnum (mfg 1983) and in an attempt to get it firing again I have been looking over parts lists & diagrams, (as well as countless photos) but none that I have seen have the additional/extra cylinder as shown (although every receiver i've seen has the bracket that holds it molded in to it).

Can anyone shed some light on this?

thanks in advance

Ace is correct. Lots of tuners remove that part and thread a screw with epoxy in to seal the valve to get more power.

As for the receiver hole, those were pretty standard even on full power rifles without the detuned pressure release chamber.
