Chev gives some good advice sometimes, but just because you post long winded replies. Doesn't mean you are always right. One of the founders of GTA ( Gateway to Airguns ) and Bob. Well respected tuner, said he gives alot of miss information. From a quick search, he's not on many large airgun forums, and only on little forums now. So take everything with a grain of salt.

Petroleum products has no place in a airgun compression tube. Why they use 100% silicone for spring airguns, something that wont ignite.

What if i leave the gun cocked for say 24 hours then xhrony it after if it leaks it should have dramaticaly les fps correct? And im not blaming anything that happened to my gun on you. I have been told by lots of people you can sand the tube or break hone it. Also theres no wayni can compress my gas ram by hand with a board on a scale using all my weight.

IMHO that's a good clue the ram is good.

There a test you can do to check if your piston seal is doing its job. Just break open the barrel, put a finger tip on the transfer port and ALMOST cock the rifle (don't engage the trigger). WARNING! Be very careful not to pinch your fingers! You should feel a small vacuum on your finger tip. Not much, but you should definitely feel it. If no vacuum is felt, then maybe yes you over sanded and the bore is now so large that the seal has a hard time expanding enough to give a full power shot.

When you installed the new seal, was the piston easy, real easy to put back in the compression tube? The piston shouldn't ''fall'' in the tube under its own weight, there should be a 2-3 lb resistance felt when pushing the piston in the tube.
