Been trying to find out how high it will register it. Say if you are shooting standing, and put it on the bench. If it will work? But seems like it gotta be inline with the bore. From the video section of the guy at the range with a firearm, and piled up range bags.

That won't work. I'm pretty sure it has to be right under and at the muzzle & perfectly in line with it.
If you have the earlier model without the elastic band attachment, FX will send you one, no cost.
One of the fellows at our range has the earlier model and is waiting for the attachment system. From
what I saw, they are quite picky about set-up distances and angles.

Yes, it's a bit picky to setup. Must to be inline to the bore, not only on the vertical level, but also the horizontal level... If you target needs you adjust the muzzle a bit up or down, your chrony have to be adjusted to it too... So a good tripod is very necessary to use it...

It's okay to set behind the muzzle a little bit, but it won't get a reading if you put the muzzle behind it (pretty safe to ensure you have no chance to hit it~ 8-) )

So the 2nd generation with the rubber band connection is a huge improve!

Mine was bought from AGS and I got a reply some time ago, they are waiting for the extra parts from FX too.... Still have no idea when I will get my free upgrade yet...
