My latest toy.. it's the 495 fps detuned in .22.

I just got few questions.. is the artemis pp750 a pistol or a rifle?

I have noticed that it has a serial number. If you increase the power, will this make it a pal rated pistol , a pal rated rifle or a prohibited ? It term of legal aspect, the difference is huge.

In general, Canada has this rule: once a pistol , always a pistol ...

So it's another similar case like the 2240.

Don't think our enforcement departments would consider the PP700/750 as a special one.... :(

If it is meant to be shot with one hand (in any configuration), it is a pistol.
If it is altered to generate over 500fps AND 4.2fpe, it is a restricted firearm (handgun).
Having the adjustable stock does not change the fact that it can be shot with the stock telescoped almost
all the way, by or with one hand = handgun. Guns like the Mare's leg in .30/30 powder burner having a butt stock
that is bobbed are non-restricted as they are over 26" long due to the action length and only 12" bl. but not meant
to be fired with or by one hand.
If the stock on the PP750 did not telescope and the gun was then over 26" in length, it would be classified as a rifle.
That is my "take" on the current legislation, however with that short barrel, it had better have been manufactured in
that configuration.
Making something like that out of a PP750 would not be tolerated, I'm sure. It is a handgun - period.

Question was asked if it was a rifle or pistol. It is a pistol. That's it.

Just sharing my last target shooting session using the artemis pp750 .22. (495 fps)

I was using crosman pointed pellet..

300 feet hit confirmation on almost every shots.. i really like the artemis.

I also tried with the cometa lynx .177 detuned and it was alot harder to hit the target with the cometa ...but not impossible. I had 30% success with the cometa at that range... vs 90% with the artemis.

Inquiring minds, you know.

The white/grey metal gong .. the gong was atleast 12 inch.. im using the gong because its fun to hear the gong..

I was holding my iphone for a picture... i had to aim higher to hit the gong..

The first target row is set at 50 yards (150 feet)... i just skipped the first row and went for the second row way in the back. 100 yards..

That's pretty good shooting. My PP700 loved the heavier 19.09gr. H&H Barracuda Extremepellets. Best of all was the 21.3gr. RN "match" pellet.
I only shot the gun out to 20 yards, but it was making 1/2" to 1" groups at that range with a red dot sight & the 21.3gr. match RN's. The target
on the table has 11 shots out of 20 in a 1/2". As the pressure level dropped, the impacts went down, of course. Oh well.

As the pressure drop? What do you mean? I though all artemis were regulated... i know mine is.

You got a good grouping.. this is the kind of grouping i get but with live .22 ammo in crawl position with diop sight.

After it went off the regulator. I wasn't watching the pressure. It was 15 shots, not 20.
That red dot is just an old, very old Tasco red-dot sight - 23/4yrs old, maybe.
