I used to work in a premiere firearm range.
Top of the line equipment, really cutting edge,
and I got to shoot for free. :D
Now here is the possibly odd part.
I loved the scent of burnt gunpowder.
Tidying up the ranges was the best part of my job.
(Other than shooting)

Now here is the definitely odd part.
I like the scent wafting up from my freshly shot piston springer.
Certainly nothing like burnt gunpowder.
Maybe burnt or compressed oil.
Am I a bad person?

Some people consider these as odd firearms & they definitely have an odour when fired.

Nothing odd about aromatherapy...

The wife used to think it was odd to watch me chase that last piece of brass... considering we had 5 gallons buckets of them at home...

Confessions of a smellaholic....
As a young kid, I used to collect my dad's spend 12 ga cartridges and use them for building toys. I didn't have fancy things like Lego - anyhow what I really enjoyed was the smell of burned gunpowder from those cartridges. Mmmmmmmmm,

Some powders are more pleasant that others.
Some even smell toxic, although likely aren't.

In weird Prairie Tales James Earl Jones after shooting purposely "smokes" the end of his handgun barrel.
He breathes it in with great pleasure. Methinks its done when tobacco is lacking. :D
