Wow, that has some good velocity for that weight
I was planning to try some H&N barracuda as well
Is that just stock Daryl?

Yes - as received. Seems to really smack the steel plates behind the black donna-conna as well, when shooting pinned on targets.
It empties the little troughs of pellets that collect in a groove, below the slanted steel deflector plates as well. The tray fills with
normal .177 match pellets from guys shooting 10M - then I come along with my HW97 or the PP700 and the deflecting heavy or fast
pellets empties the trays onto the floor.

Lol that’s too funny
I was thinking to try something medium weight at first but I think I’ll jump to the barracuda and see what happens, work my way down as needed
Cheers

Ian - seems to me, if I remember correctly, the H&N 19.09gr. Barracuda Hunter Extremes also shot very well.
I've a feeling the Crossman 14.34gr. HP's also shot fairly well - I could have a look over the targets I've made with the
pistol, but know for a fact, the heavy H&N's do shoot well - in all my .22's - the HW98, PP800, Brocock and Gauntlet rifles
as well as do the Predators at 16.0gr. in .22, 8gr. in .177 and 26gr. in my .25's. The predators shoot very well in all my guns.

Hey Daryl, why you getting your PP700 so late?!

I tuned mine to shoot 13.12g X-Sport at 495fps now. It's about 7.0fpe.

I think yours will slow down a bit when the regulator settle down later just like mine. My PP700 settled down at about 460fps using CPHP 14.3g.

I've been shooting my PP700 S-A for over a year, yep yep and likely, 2,000 pellets through it - maybe more.
Not sure what you mean by getting it late? I don't expect it to slow down, now. I have not chronographed
it with lighter pellets, indeed, the 16gr. Predator is the only other pellet I shoot in it, now that I am out of
Crossmans.
Here are some 10 meter targets with other pellets.

[emoji38] That's me misunderstood then~ I read your post a day ago and looks you just opened the box and tried a heavy pellet first~

I got this sweet 'pistol' very late by myself so was surprised to see you were latet than me and that looks impossible ~

That's OK - was wondering, is all. Yes, had it for a while. Shoots very nicely.
The PP800 is just slightly less accurate, but then, that's likely just me and the
way the gun fits. I find the stock a bit large and I am adjusting that & testing
the 800 now (also .22) and it also likes the H&N's.
I am using an old red-dot scope on the PP700, as well as a newer-style red-dot
on the PP800 that is 3MOA dot, same as the old silver Tasco.

\Got some Hades pellets from Wes & these are the first sighted in targets shot with them
in the PP700 S-A, at 10 meters - yes, from a rest using the red dot sight. We didn't chronograph
them but that would be interesting. It seems to like them (15.89gr.) about like the 21.3gr. H&N'S.
So- if any of you were thinking of trying them, I would.

I can't wait to get the PP750 and hopefully the accuracy will be on par with yours.

Hope so, Doc. Looking through the barrel (breech rotates out of the way) you can see little dimple/marks/protrusions/tiny
that absolutely have no adverse effect on the shooting qualities of this gun. Had I looked through the barrel before shooting
it, I might have sent it back to Wes. THIS gun is a keeper.

My 177 had those defects and the replacement barrel had them as well.

Interesting. they are marks like in the bottoms of both chambers of a 12 bore SxS English (Field London) shotgun I have, made from the
proof and size stamps on the underside of the barrels. The marks in the PP700 are VERY similar in appearance.

Except my 177 barrel, and a few of these marks. I think there was 2 or 3 groups of 2. When I sold my gun I seen these and was concerned. Wes was great, but the replacement came with the same.
