 Post subject: How many is too much?

So years ago I bought my two boys a Daisy Red Ryder each. After a few ricochets I got them each a Crosman Backpacker. Those rifles kept them outdoors and off screens. I bought myself a Webley tempest to join in with them and now a QB78. My son just bought himself a Crosman Vigilante. That's seven airguns in the house. Now I find myself wanting a Crosman 2300T and maybe, if I win the lotto, an Anschutz air rifle after I get my PAL. How does one justify to the wife bringing yet another airgun into a house that already has seven available anytime to shoot?

Oh man I really want that 2300T.

As long as I don't complain about what the wife buys, she doesn't bother me.

Start to worry when that reaches 70. The good news is that there are plenty of addicts ready and willing to take them off your hands.

You have to get creative, buy from the forum and request seller ship in a small packet and label it as Auto Parts or Diapers. Works until the stash is found. In the meantime, read up on Family Law - it 'aint pretty.

Uhh.... It's too late to use the 'Diapers' label and would let the lady in the house think about when and where and with whom and many other W questions about the new born....

Duke, should I start to get worried, my collection is nearing 70?

Yes, you are in danger zone, if you have a standard issue wife. If not, then you're safe. I forget how many I had when the $hit hit the fan, wasn't far from 70. :lol: :drinkers:

How many pairs of shoes does she have? Why do you have to justify buying another gun? Justification for another gun is an English and Australian law deal.
In a free (well almost) society, just because you want one, is justification.
Just checked - 55 and only 9 are air guns.

Trevor, I suspect after going thru 70 wives, you would not have much money left for airguns, after making the alimony payments.

Or if you have 70 wives (if you live somewhere that allows polygamy) again probably not much money left for airguns.

I only have one wife and I barely have enough money left for airguns. :)

I had 11 Excaibur crossbows and seven compound bows. Would stick the new one under her bed for a week then when she was watching I would pull it. She would say is that new and I would say no I have had it for awhile now. All she would say is oh. Sold most now and replaced with airguns which get used more shooting them in the house everyday. :)

The appropriate number of airguns to own is easily expressed by the formula N+1. N is the number of airguns you already have.
