This just looks awesome... Simple, clean and sleek look, high precision... Just loving it....

Anyone have hands on experience on this beauty? It says 25 yards groups just less than an inch... ImageImage

Had a P210-3 for a number of years. (like the service issued pistol, but in gloss)
- Best I ever got from a ransom rest @ 20Y with 124gr reloads. 8 shots within a 1.5" circle
I seem to recall the Swiss army asking for 5cm groups at 50M

Fit and finish was comparable to a Luger/S&W M52/Colt National Match.
Only down side I could think of, the magazine (heel release) were stupid expensive. And guys with chubby hands would get hammer bites.

That newer one ought to be just as good, the new magazines are reasonably priced.
- I can't say I'm a fan of square trigger guards, but that's just me.

Isn't the only downside of the P210 is the price tag?! The silver color chrome finish 6 inch barrel super target is asking for 5,000 CAD.....

Thanks for some other names given in the reply~ I have been waiting for the plastic card for the 4th month now, and start to lurking around for the guns... That's a whole new world to me!

However I am still the one who collects good looking stuff by appearance first... So I like the Ruger Mark series .22lr at the beginning... Then I found this P210... And have some interest at the new Glock 44 .22lr too...

20 yards 1.5 inches grouping for a 9mm pistol good?

And curious about why the army would consider a SAO (single action only) target pistol as a service model? Or it's just because it's the neutral state Swiss army and a Swiss firearm company?

I guess it all depends on what's important to you
- Look
- Accuracy
- Tacticalfullness
- Value
- Resale value?

And what's your intended use?
- Target (as in precision shooting)
- Plinking
- Just because...

I don't know about the specific $ of that "P210 Super Target"
- But if you shop around a bit, you ought to be able to find a P210 Target for around $2,000

If you buy quality firearm (wisely), shooting is not that expensive a hobby (other than ammo!)
- That P210 Target @ $2K, I'm pretty sure if you don't abuse it... in a decade you'll probably be able to get your money's worth out of it. Comparing this to scuba-diving/motorcycles/cars, that's pretty darn good.

I would look at the CZ TS ( Tactical sport ) Dispite the name, not much tactical to do with it. I would buy one, but I need a 3.5# trigger for the sport I shoot. TS has about 2.2 ish.

Unless you reload, you won't really see the potential of the gun. The off the shelf ammo that you probably would purchase. Would be like taking a Ferrari and running 89 OCT. Sure it will run, but it won't run to it's true potential. So I wouldn't worry about getting 1.5" groups. I can do that at 10M, but not 20M.

And like I told Daryl in another thread. You wouldn't be able to shoot a PB as accurate as say you would a Air Pistol. Due to the recoil.

Yeah, you know the price! A 'normal' P210 blued inches barrel model is about 2K... Then an inch longer 'super target' model gives the price a jump of one thousand more to almost 4k... And then a special silver model push it close to 5K...

However just loving the long barrel models, same like the Ruger Competition/Hunter vs the Target/Standard... I know the accuracy should be no difference in my hand and in my purpose usage...

A Chinese 54 is just 199.....

1.5" edge to edge is pretty darn good for a center-fire semi "service pistol".
- The very best I got was about 1" for a shots group with a S&W M52 and or a Colt National Match (and they were dedicated target pistol)

If you have the chance to read up on the Swiss, they're an interesting bunch. They love to shoot and are accuracy freaks. So it's kind-of-normal for them to insist their service pistol be good enough to use in competitions

I know you're not there yet. But be careful about barrel length, depending on the game you want to play (if any)

Like I started to go blind in my right eye. So I had to start putting optics on most of my pistols.. Now I'm not sure If I'll be able to use this is year for our PPC match. Find out in Sept. I know they said you could. But I never seen anyone actually run one.

If I cannot, might have to use one of my 1911s.

When the ERT boys n town were issued P226's, I got to shoot one. No trouble staying on an 8" 50 meter
steel plate fairly rapid fire too. Nice pistols, Sigs. Seems to me it was straight single action, but might have
been DA for the first shot. that in itself is a weird situation.
The CZ's are easy to shoot as well. Many guys are now starting with those for IPSC.

Hey Ken, so you got your PAL ok then? I have read in other forums that there have been delays with the whole covid business.

And you'll need a Hammerli 208 to go with that P210

Last year PPC provincial shoot. The person that won it. Scored a 1408/1500. Used a 226. That year I only shot 1032 ish, this year mid 1200s.

@ leadslinger, yeah, I read your many 'reviews' on the CZs and love them too. Ie. the C7Z5 SP1 which I put on my notes long time ago~
