Hi everyone,

Hope you're doing well in this strange time...

I don't know much about airguns but I wanna learn. I had a very basic spring break-barrel air rifle when I was young. It had open sights and a very tired spring but it fascinated me nonetheless.

Now much older but with my own budget so I plan on buying something cool...

Therefore I think this forum will help me make my mind about what I should buy...even though I think I have it pretty much figured out...

Thx.

Welcome, Beccaria.
What sort of rifle did you have in mind?
You should start a new thread for discussion.

Hi,

I live in La Prairie on Montreal's South Shore. I'm really new to air rifle but I'm also really interested and I fear it might cost me a lot ;-)

As for the rifle, I think I'll try to buy an Air Arms TX200 in 22 cal.

I know it's a springer but jumping right away into PCPs might be risky for my budget.

I wanna be able to hunt pigeons and crows that's why I think I should opt for this caliber...

Good choice! The Tx200 is a beautiful rifle.
If you scoot over to CGN, user KDX as a nice one for sale (he jumped with both feet into pcp)

TX200s are beautifully crafted artifacts! As for the pest bird control, I've counted more heads with 177 cal than 22 cal springers. Maybe because with the same powerplant, a 177 shoots flatter trajectory than a 22...
