Alright ~ Surprise!!

I ordered this set of 1911 grips by the end of Jan from Aliexpress, and it 'suddenly' delivered this morning....

As I already got a new grips for my HW45, I modded it a little bit with my Dremel and put them on my Tanfoglio Witness 1911 BB gun~

They are heavy, solid, hard, high density wood pieces! Well worth how much it costs! ImageImage

12.95 CAD, free shipping. Feels about double the weight than my HW45 original walnut grips... And very hard to remove the wood to make the shape to fit the 1911 BB gun.

Usually it would be delivered at least a month or two months before...

If they were checkered or embossed in any way the cost would rise. Looks like a few simple jigs to mass produce these. Wood variant looks common from Asia. Definitely better than plastic but looks cost appropriate imo.

Not really. I see a set of checkered wood, with 4 grip bushings, and 4 grip screws + a tool for the grip screws for 9.50 cents + 3.88 for shipping.

Thanks for posting. I'm going to order a set for my 1911 powder burner. I like the feel of the rubber grips on it, but these are purdy. (and cheap!)

I'm not surprised whatsoever. Must cost them pennies to make. Maybe a buck with labor but I doubt it.
