Vote the conservatives next election, they’ll fix it. I don’t usually vote conservative either.

They seem to be flip flopping.

Now they are saying that they will, allow selling to the government or grandfathering. This is why I don't trust the media at all, or hearsay/rumors and you can only go by when it actually happens.

That's pretty sleazy for a government.
- passing a law while we are in a pandemic lock-down
- doing it trough order in council, so no debate whatsoever about it
- As usual with any new gun laws, they will not provide any kind of documentation to support their actions

Canada is turning into one big banana-republic

Kind of pathetic really to use the two major killings in Canada as justification.

Knowing that in both cases, the body count would have been lower if the police had taken appropriate action.
- Polytechnic, they just waited outside for the shooting to stop
- Nova-Scotia, they couldn't be bothered to send an alert

Honestly it wouldn't have helped. People keep on saying it would. Without knowing anything about it. I have a friend that is a Local NS police officer, and he said. The system at the time wasn't setup for anything outside of Amber alerts.

Quote:
The rcmp knew after the fact that it should have been used. The system was not put in place for police to use outside of amber alerts. It's not that the public made them realise they need to use it, at the time they had never needed to use it before and it was a developing situation. Now there is protocol in place for all agencies in NS to use it. Before this week it wasnt setup that way.

There was notification sent by EMO the organization that issues the alert, to all chiefs of police before the media frenzy even started saying what they need to do in the future to use the system. Like you said. Cant prepare for a situation they have never dealt with before.

Yep, done deal
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... a-shooting

But to be thorough, they also need to ban fires and police cars;
maybe make murder illegal.

We're supposed to be in a democracy... but apparently, that only applies when it suits their purposes.

Here's a full list, but it won't load right now because the server is overloaded

http://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p2/2020/2020 ... -154x3.pdf

Basically all variants of
-AR 15, AR 10, Ruger Mini 14, M 14, XCR, CZ858, CZ Scorpion, Swiss Arms, Beretta Cx4, and guns that produce over 10,000 J of energy.

Keep in mind, they mentioned that more will be added to this list.

Give them a little time, and all "military and police" firearms will also be banned... to include pistols and revolvers.
