Hi,

I have a King Sol catalogue from 1993. That store on Queen St., Toronto, was awesome. :D

1993- those are great prices - oh I wish now that I'm a little more fluent. LOL

When I was a kid, most mil-surp rifles, including Trapdoor Springfields were $12.00 to $29.00 - usually stacked in wooden rain barrels in the larger hardware stores.

Trust the Globe and Mail to completely distort the facts. "Assault rifles". M1 Garands that were not destined for conflicts in the ME.

I can remember them having Mausers in wood barrels for 19.95. Norinco AK's were 399.00. They used let me in the back room. They had pallets of M1's.
Military Antiques on O'Connor had a big selection of surplus rifles. Ontario Sporting Supplies rounded things out with Ingram M10's and M203 launchers.

I miss those old catalogs. King Sol, Springfield Sporters, US Cav, Kaufmans, the Edge Co. Shotgun News and SOF as well.
