The BC provincial government has proclaimed June 2020 as ALS Awareness Month,
and on June 1 and 2 landmarks across B.C. will be lit purple.

that's v thoughtful but i'm unsure as to what he might need in his situation.

i think messages del'd to him (like this thread was) is probably the most apropos and uplifting to him.

he was able to give a weak thumbs up to each of the names i read from.

maybe a donation to ALS Society in his name might be considered. (?)

Hey Doug,
Little time goes by before I say to myself, again and again,
"Now would be the time for another Wilm995 update on the latest sale."

Rest, and be comfortable in knowing, not only are you missed,
but to so many of us, you are a legend on CAF.

Thank you for taking the time to keep us informed, very much appreciated.

I miss the guy, he’s definitely part of the extended Airgun family.

Long before Doug had published his name, I bought a QB78 from him that had "Doug" scratched into the stock.

it had been too long since i chk'd in w Doug...
so i did.

a few days of texts and calls netted me a short audience Sunday morning. His support workers had found 'a scary black gun' in a drawer so Doug entrusted me with a Spyder paintball gun. was told it needed seals and, to my eye, i can't get it to cock. free to a good home. i'll cover postage.

Doug is recently released (again) from the hospital and is comfortable-ish at home. he now sports a walrus moustache and looks quite striking, actually. lol :)

ALS is cruel.

ALS has rendered him w VERY limited limb mobility, no speech and eye signals to indicate yes and no.

he's braver than i would be.

i'll send the link to this thread to his family in a few days that he may have it read to him.

so fill in your stories, fond remembrances,
..and grievances. LOL

I would give his PB gun a home.

Please tell him we are all pulling for him.
I still call his QB "Doug".
