My pistol arrives next week and am planning on going the route of a long eye relief scope.
Plan on shooting silhouette (rams are 18 yards).
Kind of narrowed it down to the Nikon XR 2x20mm and or the Burris 2x20
Wondering what others use or can suggest.

I've heard that Simmons makes decent handgun scopes, but I never had one.

I've got some Centerpoint pistol scopes on my site that are nice and compact 2x20, good long eye relief. These appear to be pretty much identical to the BSA pistol scope I used to sell that are no longer available, so perhaps Centerpoint stuck their name on them.

I run an old Tasco red dot sight on mine.

I bought a UTG 2-7X32 1" Handgun Scope from D&L last year with my HW44. I had real difficulty getting steady enough to get a good site picture with it. It has the long eye relief. I changed it to a Vortex Crossfire red dot that I like much better.

I have a scope for my P3 which came in the same box as a kit.

It needs time to get used to shoot pistol with a scope as the sight picture is very small due to the scope size and the long eye relief. Anyway it did help a lot to let me see the bullseye clearly from meters away... Image

IMO, dot sights are really the best choice for replica handguns (as opposed to target handguns). If you're "replicating" the handgun "non-target" experience, the idea is quick target acquisition and quick trigger response at fairly short distances (max. 10 yards). A non-magnified scope with the best MOA dot pattern you can afford is, IMO, the best choice. For BB guns, I have a couple of the red dots Wes sells (Airgun Archery Fun) and they're perfectly fine for BB gun use under the above "replication experience" scenario.

Do you have a link, Wes?
