Thought I'd post a accuracy test I did today of my new 1322.

The 1322 is new to me, bought it from AGS. Super service and 3 day shipping, very happy with the service from AGS !
The scope is the Tasco 4X15. Not a great scope, optics are kind of fuzzy and overall the sight picture is dark. I have a better scope on the way. The intermounts that attach to the barrel are acceptable if you tighten up the allen screw in the breech of the gun. Keeps the barrel from turning too much.

I tested 4 pellets today. Crosman Premier Pointed 14.3 gr, Daisy Precision Max 13.2 gr, Gamo Master Point 16.2gr and Gamo Hunter 15.4 gr. Pictured below is the overall test.
All groups are 5 shots@ 10 pumps @ 25 ft, indoors so no wind effects.

Now for the first of the "Money-shots"

The Gamo Hunter's were the least accurate of the test batch, I used a Canadian quarter to cover the 5 round group.

Due to photo limits, I'll post the last 3 Money-shots in a seperate post.

Amazing the pointed pellets fared the best.

True dat, pointed pellets usually are the worst. But, at 25 ft a 1322 should be able to put any pellet into one hole groups. I suspect that barrel just doesn't like the Gamo hunter pellets.
New craig67 should try some wadcutters or JSB Ecact RS to get a feel for what his gun can really do. So, the point Daryl is making (pun intended) and I'm seconding is - don't use pointed pellets for shooting groups on paper - go for domed and wadcutters.

The little scope looks like but must be better than the plastic one that I bought from eBay and put on my 1322.before~ [emoji38] at least Tasco is still a brand name making scopes...

I tried that barrel scope mounts on my 1322 before too~ [emoji38] and then I found the steel breech is a must do mod for the 1322/1377/2240 etc Crosman guns...

The money-shots continue ....

Daisy pointed, group is covered by a US dime ... didn't have a Canadian dime for some reason :?

The only reason I can think of for the good accuracy is the skirts are somewhat soft. I guess they engage the rifling better.

Next up are the Gamo Master Point's, the heaviest pellets in the test. Group is covered by a nickel.

Last but not least are the Crosman Premier Pointed, came with the 1322 shooter package,

I do have some Crosman Copperhead wadcutters that I'll try (Thanks Dukemeister), I'll post those later this week.

The scope is not very impressive, its kind of like looking through a Coke bottle
My Hawke 4X32 is about 5000% better. My 3-9X32 Tasco rimfire scope is about 4500% better.

The steel breech is on my short list for an upgrade. Other fish to fry first though.

Where are you exactly?! I just found you are shooting some rare seen pellets except the Crosman... [emoji38]

You should be able to clean up that scope blur a bit by tweaking the parallax. Have a look at the front lens and find a couple of slots on the ring that holds it in place. The ring can sometimes be turned with a straightened paperclip. Turn it in (clockwise) a bit at a time to see if the picture clears up. I have the same scope with "Daisy" branding and my ring was loose enough to turn without a spanner wrench. It's still a cheapo $15 scope but it can be made a bit better.

Montreal area. The Gamo pellets are about 10 years old. I bought the Gamo's from a store (LeBaron) that is now out of business.
The Daisy's were a Walmart buy back when Walmart still sold pellet guns. Probably 9 years old. Same thing for a 500 pack of Copperhead wadcutters (Not pictured)

Regards,

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know you could adjust the parallax like that.

Anyways, my new scope arrived today, an NC Star 2-7X32 long eye relief from Scopesandammo.com.

This one: http://scopesandammo.com/storefront/product_info.php/ncstar-7x32mm-long-eye-relief-handgun-scope-p-1044

Much nicer :D
Review to follow later.
