I thought, hell, for being practically free, why not give it a try?
Feels decently balanced, the trigger has some creep and about a 5 lb break, but for 35 bucks I can't complain. The sights are metal, the trigger is metal, barrel and body are metal. Trigger guard and stock is composite.

The rear sight is only adjustable for elevation. You lift up the sights with one hand and move the slider up and down with the other. The front sight post is metal and hooded, and is thinner than I expected (which I prefer). It has dovetail rails for a scope too.
The B1-1 air rifle (Not sure what company produces it. Let's just say China

) came quite dirty from the factory; that brown Chinese factory grease was everywhere. After about 12 dry passes with my bore snake, it got most of the gunk out and I finally passed some clp oil through the bore. Rifling appears sharp, even and shiny now.
Seal seems intact and had some of that grease on it too. Most of it was cleaned by me prior to my first shots. I also tightened the screws a bit more.
On to the first shots: distance was 12 meters in my basement. Standing offhand. First 5 shots all went 2 inches high and 1.5 in to the left. I didn't want to mess with the rear sight so I used needle nose pliers to bend the front sight post. Shot a 10 - shot group at 12 meters standing. It measured 0.89 inches. What more could you ask from a $34.99 springer?

My first attempt at shooting this. 10 shot group, standing at 12 meters using the JSB Exact RS pellets. A 0.89" 10 shot group with a $35 springer? Good bargain, I'd say!
The only eye - opener for me is the lack of any safety mechanism. Your finger is the only safety in this one. But again, what can you expect from a dirt - cheap spring piston air rifle?
Another issue I had was actually not with the air rifle itself, but with Princess Auto not advertising the product correctly. All of the local ones near me seem to be selling the black synthetic versions, while advertising the wooden version on their site.
Obviously you can't compare this to a Weihrauch but all - in - all, for being practically free, it's a great little shooter.
