Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I lasted posted something interesting on the forum -been kind of busy with a woodworking project. Perhaps this will stir the imagination and stimulate the creative juices for some of you who might feel so inclined. A project I've been working on here and there for the better part of a year, has finally come to fruition.

Some time ago, whilst surfing he web, I spotted a wall mounted gun cabinet, consequently inspired to build my own, based on the mirror in my bathroom. I used Maple wood with a rich Burgundy stain throughout, some pretty brass gun hangers purchased at our local outdoors store, and a bundle of cheap eBay rigid led lighting strips from a seller in China, installed neatly all the way around. Some tempered glass doors and textured red fabric backing finished things nicely.

Lost track of how many hours I have into this thing, somewhere between 80 and 100 for sure. Definitely not a project for the "I need it yesterday" impatient type. One "sure fire" way to beat the "Covid-19, all locked up, Blues" however - hope this may inspire others to take on a few Air Gun related projects to pass the time.

Cheers!

Avianmanor

Brilliant! Love it. Well lit too. So much better than them sitting in a safe tucked away where you can’t enjoy just looking at them.

Thanks Guys! I took forever to take from concept to reality, but I enjoyed the process completely.
Yes Ryan, much nicer to have your guns on display to enjoy when you're at home rather than have them locked up, but when I'm away or have any Hoplophobiacs visiting, all my firearms are securely stowed away as per regs and kept out of sight.

Cheers!

Hoplophobiacs, eh.....apparently a perfectly cromulent word!

Nice display cabinet, all you need is a mirrored shade to cover it. Can you image the chuckle you'd get watching them looking in the mirror?

Kudos to you Aaron for your patience and craftmanship that will endure in time and quality from such an elegant piece of 'firearm' furniture.
I know, I'm late in appreciating openly your accomplishment. But rather late than never. Even if I was already privy to your 'work in progress' ...very pleased to see the finished outcome.
congratulations and thank you for sharing. Indeed inspiring concept.

Wonderful job, Avian - beautiful indeed. Lockable or sub 500fps?
