The other post on the 34.95$ airgun rifle at Princess Auto got me thinking...
What about the next in line price wise the Remington Hunter rifle @ 99$
Anyone has tried this detuned Canadian version?

Online reviews are generally favorable with good accuracy, adjustable trigger, nitro piston, but they are all based on the full power version.
I don’t have a break barrel in my fleet...Just wondering if this rifle would be ok for general backyard plinking with reasonable accuracy.

Thanks

Yes it would be a reasonable plinker. With some tuning (what the folks in UK call fettling) you may even get it to group.

Best under 500fps spring gun is Hatsan 35S in 177. Shoots absolutely amazing right out the the box. $149 I got mine from the store "Deals Store" in Owen Sound which is a division of KW Surplus. Be well worth the extra $50.

Good store for a lot of things, though I found their guns to be a bit over priced usually.
