hey pete, i picked one up at P-Auto and ya... no mags anywhere.
crosman C1911S.

-mind the small washers under the hex head grip screws. glad i saw the shiny things on the floor.
-the dark brown grip is from a KWC/Swiss Arms 1911. it is so close to fitting..
-the dark kwc has a 3rd brace at top that rocks on the Crosman boss so no more than some trimming for sure.
-i have rubber Hogue grips on my KWC 1911 and expect that the real McCoys would fit the Crosman too if trimmed to allow the CO2 bulb swell.

-the mag well is built to very tight tolerances (more so than KWCs) which means that if the CO2 bulb is slightly off centre on the tightening screw, the mag is so snug going in i'd be afraid of not being able to get it out. i tap the CO2 base into place with a small hammer.. for two of the 4 CO2s so far. i'm getting better.
-double action only so the hammer doesn't lock back but it (limply) activates when the trigger is pulled.
-backstrap safety is for show.
-the rail fits all the real fun stuff.
-the fixed slide is metal so it feels nice and cool on my cheek when we snuggle.

yep. nice one leon. boy you sure like to fondle and snuggle some of your guns don'cha.(not that theres anything wrong with that). i,ve got a couple pairs of beauty cocobolo wood grips to try on it in case i do buy one. and maybe a paint job. when you were done carressing it how does it actually shoot-- decently. thanks for the help.

my C1911 shoots high even at 6m but that's not hard to compensate for, L to R is fine.
i'm leaving it as is by not filing down sights etc..

it won't get shot often and it's part of my collection due to the unique revolver magazine.

it's a quiet gun.. so kinda not exciting. understated.

maybe the difference in valve size vs the KWC blowback mag influences that. (?)

it'd be a fine gun i think for the project you have in mind Mr Pete, if 80$ is considered cheap these days.

* i'm glad i got into air gunning 10 years ago or i wouldn't have/couldn't afford the collection i do have.

i,m not sure but i think the hatsan rotary clip will work in these. the only place i found them is pyramyd air. they are hatsan 1911 rotary clips. for some reason on one page they are priced at $26.99. and the next page they are only $7.99. says in stock and ships to canada.

I think Pyramyd also sells the magazine for the Crosman 1911 pellet pistol.

So maybe buy a spare mag. while you are at it.

it's for the KWC branded version so the mag base plate looks to be a darker shade.

haha.

no.

last evening i went to RAG to consider a CO2 replica pellet shooter and was ready to buy the KWC1911 pellet gun and a spare mag. watching Mike's vids had me say, "heeeeeeey..... that mag looks just like a C1911's!"

"i'll have to tell Pete right away!"

..but only after i placed MY order for one,
and for another P365 mag.

my possessed P365 full-auto mag, that i fixed, became unfixed.
now i'll have 2 good ones and the possessed full auto. (which would make a good one to tuck in my socks)

i didn't buy the KWC1911 even though i prefer the colour scheme on it (matches my 1911 BB blowback) and the traditional styling. (no under barrel rail/traditional finger grip slide groove thingys)

edit:
looking at the pic again makes wish i HAD got it.. :(
it would fit the various 1911 holsters i have for it better too,
not having the under rail and cleaner overall.

dang.
