Very Happy this morning when I opened the door and found a paper tube in my mailbox with a good looking orange sticker on it~

It's the new custom made PP700SA barrel and a nice muzzle brake from Jason (#Landsngrooves). It's much appreciated as this is the one .22 caliber among the other 177 caliber barrels in the run and maybe made specially for me?! [emoji38] [emoji38]

The barrel is very well made to details. I love the laser engraved logo on the barrel and the muzzle brake!

The muzzle have been well crowned and polished.

The muzzle brake is a convenient screw in type, fits on the muzzle well and tight.

Used only one cleaning pellet to finish cleaning the bore and it's ready to go on the pistol (carbine now). Can't wait putting it on and the performance checking wilk be following.... However I need to figure out how to mount scope back on without the shround....

Enjoy some eye candies first~ ImageImageImageImage

Great to hear!
I am not sure when I can put it on as I am working on my HW35 now and need something to mount the scope without the shround.... Any idea?

I’m glad you guys are enjoying/like the barrels. Give me some feedback guys!! I’m always looking to make things better and your feedback in that regard is very valuable to me.
Regards
Jay

Following the post by Hobbyman2007 and other forum gentlemen to work on my PP700SA and found the shround is very hard to remove...

I have the set screw on my PP700, it's removed, pistol de-gased, attachments removed.... and I tried using my snap ring plier to remove the tension nut and found it's very very tight... I am not sure if I can just give more effort on it or something wrong.... Anyone knows about it and have experience?? Image

Hmm, i used snap ring pliers on mine and it worked fine. My pliers looked less beefy than what you have.

I don't have that gun, but if you need a bit more leverage to help turn what I do is put the pliers in the holes and then insert a screwdriver as a lever between the points close to the holes. It helps if you have three hands...

[emoji38] bought that to work on my 1911 co2 valve.... Not intended for this kind of heavy duty~ I looks need to twist the pliers to turn the nut a little.... Turn it counter-clockwise to loose, right? Assure it's not some strange design....

That's a good trick and I will try it! So I actually turn the two contacting spots directly and no more using the pliers handle to turn it, right?!
